National Centre for Promotion of Employment for Disabled People (NCPEDP) with the support of Mphasis is proud to announce the 13th edition of the Universal Design Awards – India’s most prestigious awards for promoting accessibility and universal design for the inclusion of persons with disabilities.
Universal Design Award
The awards are given in 4 categories: Category A, B, and C are given to Persons with Disabilities, Working Professionals, and Companies/Organisations respectively. The fourth category of Award was instituted in the year 2018 in memory of the late Mr Javed Abidi and seeks to recognize advocacy efforts to promote accessibility and the Principle of Universal Design.
The Awards cover accessibility in the following fields:
- Built Environment
- Transport
- Information and Communication Technology
- Services
- Aids and Appliances
- Advocacy and Public Policy

The last date for sending nominations is Wednesday, 10th August 2022.
