Vidya sagar is a voluntary organization based in Chennai, Tamil nadu, India. The organization works with children and young adults with cerebral palsy and other neurological disabilities, their families and the communities they live in.
It is a registered trust under the Tamil Nadu societies act and donations are eligible for exemption under 80G of the Income Tax Act.

Vidya Sagar believes that Disability is Human Rights issue. This belief underlies all our projects.
We also strongly that no one issue of disability can be tackled in isolation. We work towards integrated development through a series of programmes. Over the years we have changed our syllabus to make it more challenging and more in keeping with mainstream schools.

I am 84 years old living alone in Chennai assisted by my Cook, Fathima.Sheis deserted by her alcoholic husband.She is burdened with a son,Bilal aged 22 years,who is born Dumb and Mentally Restarted.The boy is being treated almost continuously by Kilpauk Mental Hospital, Chennai. as an outpatient, sometimes as in-patient too. Nothing much as changed.. Now he has become more violent the homes for M R patients where he less admitted earlier,now refuse admission as he is almost MAD
Now the mother is seeking a mental asylum where he will be taken care for his life time’
