F.A.M.E India, Bangalore proposes to conduct a Comprehensive Management of Cerebral Palsy- A Three Day Workshop. This highly interactive and participative course will include case studies, group discussions, video films, practical counseling skills, role plays and personal coaching on interpersonal skills. Highly qualified faculty will facilitate this workshop.
Training Group: Practicing Physiotherapists, Students of Physiotherapy, Caregivers, Parents and Rehab Professionals.
Goal: The goal of this workshop is to provide a conceptually sound framework of knowledge, skills and attitude for management of Children and Adolescents with Cerebral Palsy.

Workshop Content Coverage:
- Introduction to Cerebral Palsy: Epidemiology and aetiology.
- ICF model of framework: Concept of the International Classification on Functioning, Disability and Health.
- Diagnostic process and Classification of Cerebral Palsy: Early signs of CP and assessment tools – Gross Motor Function Classification System (GMFCS), Manual Ability Classification System
(MACS). - Classification of Gait Patterns: Recognizing different gait patterns in unilateral and bilateral cerebral palsy, implications of gait patterns for interventions.
- Intervention Activities: Mobility, ADL, Play
- Adaptive/assistive Devices for children with cerebral palsy
- Geriatric Care: Positioning and adaptations to reduce sores and pain

On conclusion of the workshop, the Participants will be able to
- Develop and demonstrate the knowledge of epidemiology and aetiology of CP.
- Develop and demonstrate the competency of using standardized assessment tools.
- Apply ICF framework for improving the activity and participation level of persons with CP.
- Develop and demonstrate the use of adaptive devices for functional independence.
- List out the importance of play activities for Children
with CP - Demonstrate transitional movements, posture correction and positioning to reduce sore and pain
