We, the Multiple Sclerosis Society of India, Chennai Chapter, are a Voluntary Organization looking after the welfare of people associated with Multiple Sclerosis. We enclose herewith our leaflet regarding MSSI..
Multiple Sclerosis – “Crippler of the Young Adult”, is a chronic, progressive disease of the central nervous system in which the simplest everyday tasks can no longer be taken for granted. Its symptoms can vary from slight blurring of vision to complete paralysis of any muscle in the body. If this disease is not diagnosed and treated correctly in time, it can lead to permanent paralysis.
Awareness is what makes a BIG difference and MSSI, Chennai, is taking small steps towards creating this Awareness. It is here that we need your valued support. In order to spread awareness of this disease and to help people afflicted by MS, we propose having the following, wherein public participation is invited.
On Sunday, the 27th of February 2011 from Labour Statue to Gandhi Statue on Marina Beach,Chennai from 8 am to 11 am.
The participants will be drawn from Corporate high ranking officials, Film Celebrities, Members of Rotary Clubs, Lion Clubs and NSS units in Schools and Colleges. Extensive media coverage and publicity will be given to this event and certificates to each participant will be distributed by an eminent personalities.
We request your valuable participation in Walk Along 2011.Your participation, will create a great impact in conveying the message among the common public, which is the main motto of the WALK.
