WCAG 2.2 New Guidelines

Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)

Each revision of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines has added new criteria of success in order to improve accessibility even more. Each success criteria takes us one step closer to increasing accessibility on the Web. Each WCAG revision adds new success criteria to the prior revision (think of the success criteria like bullet points for accessibility), so if you were compliant with a prior revision, there is no need to reverse any changes.

WCAG 2.2 Guidelines - WCAG 2.2 Checklist

WCAG 2.0 / WCAG 2.1 / WCAG 2.2

Changes in levels of one criteria will not be applied to earlier versions of the guidelines, like WCAG 2.0. The fact that WCAG 2.2 builds upon WCAG 2.1 will enable organizations to take advantage of the work that they already did for WCAG 2.1. These requirements build upon existing requirements from WCAG 2.0, and are designed to be consistent with both the WCAG 2.0 and WCAG 2.1 standards.
